The full Flyknit upper is specially designed for speed. Atomknit – an incredibly lightweight and strong Flyknit along the sides – reduces the boot's weight while providing support. The combination of Gripknit, Atomknit, and Flyknit creates the thinnest upper ever on a Mercurial, enhancing your ball contact and quickly adapting to your foot.

Nike Gripknit is a grippy material that enhances ball contact. It covers a larger area, giving you more control when dribbling at high speed or finishing with a shot. It molds to your foot and offers great traction in both wet and dry conditions, shaped like a track spike. The micro-textured surface reinforced with Gripknit further improves the boot-to-ball connection.

Just like the previous version, this boot features a Zoom Air unit, delivering next-level cushioned responsiveness underfoot.

The wave-like traction pattern consists of cascading studs that engage more of the Zoom Air unit while offering excellent grip. The largest studs are as tall as traditional central studs, so traction won’t be an issue. The wavy outsole is combined with improved V-shaped and embedded studs to help you stop on a dime during quick changes of direction.
